For a taste of “secret Tel Aviv,” the Metzitzim Beach is a must-see. You can drive from Herzliya Marina Lagoon Apartment to this destination in about 30 or 40 minutes, depending on the traffic.
It will be worth the journey especially if you are in Herzliya for a family holiday. Despite the “peeping beach” English translation of the name Metzitzim – this beach and its bay are family-friendly. There’s a playground here and activities aplenty for the little ones.
More importantly, though, when you visit the Blue Flag Metzitzim Beach, you have access to a volleyball court with nigh-time lighting and free Wi-Fi.
The beach is accessible to people with disabilities too. It’s also well-appointed, with loungers, parasols, showers, changing rooms, and lifeguards on duty.
