The Gordon Beach in Tel Aviv is a famous destination for beachgoers and sun-seekers. It’s just by the Tayelet boardwalk, close to some of the most happening seaside bars and restaurants on the coast. It’s some 20 minutes by car from your Herzliya Marina Lagoon Apartment.
Notorious for its scenic layout, but more importantly for an Olympic-sized saltwater pool used by pro swimmers and amateurs alike, this Tel Aviv landmark is a must-see featured by all travel guides. Nearby you will find a wealth of eateries, things to do and see, and amazing UNESCO heritage sites too.
The pool itself is from 1956 – but it was renovated several times since. It’s now a swimming complex with areas for kiddies and toddlers too.
Gordon Beach is bustling with life, and if you are a volleyball aficionado you will love it even more. There are amateur and professional games here almost every day, even in the winter. Summer months are all fun, provided that the beachside venues live up to your expectations.
Although very busy, the beach has enough room for drop-ins.
